The Channa sentarum, commonly known as the Yellow Sentarum Channa, is a captivating dwarf snakehead species originating from the blackwater peat swamps of Lake Sentarum in West Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia. This species has become a favorite among specialist keepers for its striking golden-yellow body, elongated torpedo-shaped form, and surprisingly manageable adult size compared to other snakehead species.

Unlike many of its larger, more aggressive cousins, the Yellow Sentarum Channa stays relatively compact, typically reaching around 10–13 cm at full maturity, making it suitable for dedicated species tanks or carefully curated predator setups.
