The Endlicheri Senegal Single (Senegal Bichir) is one of the most popular bichir species in the aquarium hobby. With its armored scales, multiple dorsal finlets, and eel-like body, it resembles an ancient fish that has remained unchanged for millions of years.

This nocturnal predator is hardy and adapts well to aquarium life when provided with clean, well-oxygenated water and a secure lid, as bichirs are known to escape through small openings. It coexists well with larger peaceful fish but should not be kept with small fish that can fit into its mouth.
