Seachem Purigen 500 ml - Synthetic Aquarium Filtration Resin

Seachem Purigen is a high-performance synthetic polymer that polishes aquarium water to a sparkling clarity. Unlike ordinary carbon, Purigen adsorbs soluble and insoluble organic waste, including the nitrogenous compounds that would otherwise break down into ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

Features

• Removes dissolved organic waste, tannins, yellowing and discolouration
• Controls nitrogenous organic waste before it converts into ammonia, nitrite and nitrate
• Gives crystal-clear, polished water in freshwater and marine aquariums
• Does not affect pH and does not release phosphate
• Safe for fish, shrimp, invertebrates, corals and live plants
• Turns from white to dark brown or black as it fills up, showing when it is exhausted
• Can be regenerated with household bleach as described on the pack and reused

How to Use

• Rinse the resin gently with tank water before first use
• Place it in a mesh media bag or a high-flow filter chamber so water flows through it
• Replace or regenerate the resin when it turns dark brown or black
